SMILE AT LIFE. - INTERVIEW

  • 04.12.2021, 13:44 |

  •

  • Smile at life. She does it all the time because she has a beautiful smile and there is understanding and love at home. Because she's a good woman. Because she's noble. Stiliyana Dimitrova painted and gave a portrait of Ivan Vazov, patron of the Bulgarian School in Bristol. Since then, everyone's called her the artist. The painting she does in the few hours available during the day, wants to become a profession. Although she is a graduate financier and has completed a course as a real estate agent and also a hairdresser. She's been painting since she was a kid. Her father and aunt have such inclinations.

  •

  • One day, thinking about life, she decides she has to leave something behind. She pulls out sheets and pencils and starts. Do you remember what you drew?

  • Yes, I remember very well. It was one of the old Volkswagens. I did it with regular colored pencils. And I've been protecting it for a long time. I will show you my second drawing, which I did at the same time. This is Nytiri from Avatar.

  • How are the ideas for your paintings born?

  •

  • My ideas for paintings are born on the go. Sometime I can start by what canvas size I have or want to use. Other times I prefer to choose the tone and individual shades. Of course, there is also a moment when it is the customer who determines the end result. Most cases are related to moments in life, and more recently to a challenge. I like to challenge myself and be challenged. And this interview.

  •

  • Ballerinas, faces, birds, a tree of well-being, geisha, Argentine tango, what are you trying to do right now?

  • I started with the ballerinas because I was afraid to draw a human body. I wonder if it's going to work, if not! I just had to try and find out if I could. I tried my best, it took a while, but now I know I can and my ballerinas appealed to people and they're already sold out.

  • The parrot was so colorful, I couldn't resist. I  painted it from the box where my drawing tools were. The tree of well-being is a very component picture, in which there is hot glue, real coins, gold leaf, acrylic paint and a little paint for shoes, for splendor.

  • The Japanese geisha...! I really like the look on their faces. Even though they have difficult fates. They're exquisite with the kimonos, the ornaments.

  • Argentine Tango - and it's special! Designed for a former musician who was 100 years old. Very emotional!

  • At the moment, I am perfecting the use of a white pencil on a black sheet. Mixing it with crayons and gel pen. I hope I will be happy with the end result.

  • Your pattern is ethereal and gentle. Despite the modern bright colors you use sometimes, your paintings are delicate and understandable. Do you like abstract painting?

  • Yes. I like  the process of making and applying the details.  Love abstract  sometime is challenge to me , and i need to challenge myself.

  • Competitions are places where we set our clock and learn at what level we are at right now. You participate in golden time talent - an international competition for art. Do you have expectations from this contest?

  •

Yes, I do. I recently found out about this international competition and decided to participate. I chose to present myself with the painting "Tree of Well-Being". The winners will receive an exhibition of paintings in Kiev or Moscow and proposals for cooperation from the organizers of the competition. Each participant will receive a diploma for a British award with unique design, publication in the TOP 100 world talents and an invitation to the annual prize in London in 2022! I'm excited, and i'm very excited!

The video below.

  • Your husband Ivan and I meet and work in a fast food chain. You've been together since 2001. Sophie and Danielle were born in England. Does the family support you in your creative searches?

  • Sophie tries to paint and wants to be an artist like mommy, and my husband approves of my decisions, but watching strictly on the side of how things work doesn't spare me criticism. He tries to guide me to expressing myself in the canvases and to have an individual approach and style. Which leads to more interest and receptiveness on the part of the audience.

  • Besides supporting you, does he help you with anything?

  •

  • He's a carpenter and he's a master of a lot of things. When I'm done with a painting, it's his turn to contribute something to art! Whether with a frame, with an idea or just the next nail for hanging the picture in our home gallery. I like to put the paintings on the walls at home and keep watching them. I'm so inspired, it makes sense to keep going!

  •

  • Your day starts and ends with a smile. What happens between smiles?

  • Our day begins with the early awakening of the youngest member of the family. Daniel is like an alarm, we don't have a chance to be late. We fix the toilet, prepare the bags for school, breakfast, and go. Some days I have the free time to create and express myself. It's never enough for me. I can't feel the time running out, I'm in a hurry to pick up the kids from nursery and school. In these moments, I'm always thinking about what I've been able to do, and what more needs to be done on a picture. We gather all at home, who is tired sleeping, who is hungry eating. Children have free time to play outside or at home. We mothers can relax, we ride roller skates, we go back to childhood, even for a while. In games and banter, it's time for dinner. We put the table on, then there's game time again. Next comes a warm bathroom and everyone in bed. I also go to bed early so I can recharge the batteries for the next exciting day.

  •

  • You said you liked to look at your paintings, and where can we enjoy them?

  • It's a link to my site where , I've done are exposed. There's a gallery, information about me, events, videos and much more . You can purchase a picture that is available directly through the site. http://stelku.wixsite.com/stiliyanadimitrova And this face book page. In it I upload my latest creations, videos and collages. https://www.facebook.com/stiliyanadimitrovaartist/

  • If you have to draw the love you're surrounded by, what are we going to see on the canvas?

  • Let me think..., it will probably be abstract in pale pink, black, white and gold leaf. The predominant will be the white color. I will add a pinch of smile and a pinch of love. And it's going to be a great picture.

  •

  • Christmas holidays are approaching and everywhere is brilliant and festive. Would you like something for our readers?

  • I wish all people to be brave and follow their dreams. Or at least try, because the small steps towards what they really like to do will contribute to a great goal. Then the universe begins to help. Be healthy and very happy!

  • And we will wish Stiliyana health, happiness and success. May every painting be special to someone who will admire her and smile at life!
